"Over 2,000 years ago the early Maya formulated a profound galactic cosmology. They saw that the sun, on the winter solstice, was slowly moving toward the heart of the galaxy. Naturally enough, with their uncorrupted intelligence intact, they suspected that the world would go through a transformation when the solar and the galactic planes aligned. They devised their Long Count calendar to target when the cosmic alignment would maximize, and that time is AD 2012. We are lucky that the brilliant skywatchers who devised the 2012 calendar left carved monuments for us to decode, and that they have survived the decay of centuries, so that we can know exactly what they prophesied and believed about 2012. "

John Major Jenkins is an independent researcher who has devoted himself to reconstructing ancient Mayan cosmology and philosophy. His careful scholarship and cutting-edge insights into why the Maya chose 2012 to end a great World Age cycle have been endorsed by the most progressive thinkers of our day. He has authored five books including Maya Cosmogenesis 2012 which reveals the Maya's insight into the cyclic nature of time, and prepares us for our own cosmogenesis--the birth of a new world. John is currently writing a new book which is due out in late 2009.

William Henry’s newest research is an investigation into America’s Capitol. The American Rite is a call to action. In his presentation you will come to understand that America’s Capitol is a place of transformation. America, says Henry, is both a place and a psychological space created by the Enlightened founders. There are astonishing alchemical and stargate symbolism that reveals the sacred science of the ancients in the temples of America. Now is the time to activate those temples for personal transformation and enlightenment. William reveals the astonishing alchemical secrets of the Apotheosis of George Washington, the painting in the rotunda which portrays Washington’s transfiguration from a man into a god, how the U.S. Capitol corresponds with the seven chakras in the human body, and the U.S. Capitol unveiled as a Temple of Man in the model of the ancient temple of Luxor in Upper Egypt.

William Henry is an investigative mythologist, author, radio talk show host, seeker and teacher. He has specialized in synthesizing myth and cutting edge modern science to reveal a startling but undeniable pattern of fact – that throughout history and across widely diverse cultures, there is an absolutely seamless tradition of the existence of gates to the stars, which have been preserved in the art and myths of each era and place. William Henry has become known as one of the most dynamic speakers in the consciousness field today.
His presentations are edgy and factual, crossing ancient sacred
science with modern science and spirituality.

Stanislav Grof, M.D., Ph.D . is a psychiatrist with more than fifty years experience researching the healing and transformative potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness. His groundbreaking theories influenced the integration of Western science with his brilliant mapping of the transpersonal dimension. On October 5, 2007 Dr. Grof received the prestigious VISION 97 award granted by the Foundation of Dagmar and Vaclav Havel in Prague. Currently, Dr. Grof is Professor of Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in the Department of Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness, and teaches at the Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. He is one of the founders and chief theoreticians of Transpersonal Psychology and received an Honorary Award for major contributions to and development of the field of Transpersonal Psychology from the Association for Transpersonal Psychology in 1993. Dr. Grof’s extensive research includes experiential psychotherapy using psychedelics and non-drug techniques, especially the holotropic breathwork (a method he developed with his wife Christina), alternative approaches to psychoses, understanding and treatment of psychospiritual crises (“spiritual emergencies”), the implications of recent developments in quantum-relativistic physics, biology, brain research, and other avenues of the emerging scientific paradigm, for psychiatric theory and consciousness studies. Among his publications are over 150 papers in professional journals and many books including Beyond the Brain, LSD Psychotherapy, Psychology of the Future, The Cosmic Game, and the newly-released When the Impossible Happens and The Ultimate Journey.

Western science is approaching a paradigm shift of unprecedented proportions, one that will change our concepts of reality and of human nature, bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and modern science, and reconcile the differences between Eastern spirituality and Western pragmatism.

Richard Tarnas Ph.D.is a cultural historian, author, and professor of philosophy and depth psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, where he founded the graduate program in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness. He also serves on the faculty of the Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. A growing consensus of scientists, scholars, and visionaries now recognize that the Earth community is facing an unprecedented evolutionary challenge. The ecological, political, and spiritual crisis of late modernity calls for a fundamental reorientation of our civilization, including a transformation of both our institutions and our own consciousness. The Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness (PCC) program has been designed to help shape the intellectual, moral, and spiritual leadership necessary for meeting this historic challenge. Rick Tarnas is a graduate of Harvard University (A.B., 1972) and Saybrook Institute (Ph.D., 1976), he was formerly director of programs and education at Esalen Institute. He is the author of The Passion of the Western Mind (1991) and Cosmos and Psyche: Intimations of a New World View (2006). Richard's research interests include the history of Western thought and culture, the evolution of consciousness, the interface of philosophy and psychology, epistemology and cosmology, new paradigm studies, depth psychology (psychoanalytic, Jungian, archetypal, transpersonal), psychedelic research, and archetypal astrology.

Cosmos and Psyche: Intimations of a New World View shines new light on the unfolding drama of human history and our own critical age. It also suggests a new possibility for reuniting religion and science, soul and intellect, ancient wisdom and modern reason in the quest to understand the past and create the future. “The evidence suggests that our universe is informed by a powerful, creative intelligence, and an ordering principle of truly astonishing power, complexity, and beauty,” Tarnas says. “Some scientists describe this intelligence as having an Einsteinian quality, but I think it’s Shakespearean as well. It’s richly multidimensional, requiring the moral, aesthetic, and spiritual imagination as well as the scientific and mathematical. Seeing the patterns emerging in life awakens us to the fact that meaning happens not only within the psyche but also within nature and the cosmos. It suggests that the whole universe is supporting our spiritual evolution.”
